Rewriting a text using a different language style
On Thursday, Mrs Golder requested the Banana's group to rewrite the second page into a narrative. We all cooperated and contributed towards our group work. Mrs Golder had to pick who would be the princess, the queen, the prince and the other characters. I noticed that it was good to cooperate because it shows Mrs Golder that we can work as a team.
This is our rewrite:
Princess Ofa commented, “These reactions are signs your body is getting ready to …”Queen Melelose added quickly, “either fight or run away from a situation.”Prince Raniera was listening in and advised, “This is how our ancestors often reacted a long time ago.”Kolotina, the butler exclaimed, “ That’s true, your Majesty, for example when they came face to face with a large woolly mammoth!” Mikayla, the servant walked in with a bucket of ice and agreed, “this can help you cool down from your fight or flight reaction.”Prince Raniera interrupted the conversation and explained, “Your blood carries your body’s extra heat into tiny vessels called capillaries.”While the maid was cleaning she overheard the conversation in the royal room and wanted to join in this academic discussion. She mumbled shyly, “Because blood is red and the capillaries in your face are very near the surface of your skin, this heat-release this heat makes your face appear red, too.” The royal family were in shock of her knowledge and intelligence and were absolutely speechless.

"Go, Myron Simpson"
This Afternoon a special visitor came to our school to talk about how reading is important to all of us. Our special visitor, Myron Simpson arrived and he was accompanied by two year eight students who were holding his equipment he was going to demonstrate to us. He held his cycling bike up to show us what it looked like. We all enjoyed Myron Simpson Cycling Courier and also enjoyed seeing his equipment.

PUFFING, PUFFING AND MORE PUFFING!!
Everyone crowded, pushing each other while trying to fit through our school gate. After all the pushing and bumping each other we finally made it through. During the time we were running we could feel the pressure and perspiration forming on our bodies. Everyone cheering while coming through to the finish line, we felt relieved. At the end of the day we were all proud of ourselves and others who tried their best.

Can you do this?
In week seven, Room 12 started learning about origami. One student in our class had to search for a video tutorial that taught us how to make an origami object that wasn't difficult for our class to make. Once we had done our task we were allowed to make any origami model of our choice. I chose to make a butterfly.

Our Amazing Assembly!!
Yesterday afternoon Room 12 hosted the senior syndicate assembly. For assembly we put on a talent quest to watch all the students and their unique talents. It was a battle between Rooms 9, 10 , 11 and 12. They showed off their wonderful talents singing and dancing. We ended off with Rooms 9 and 11 coming first, Room 10 coming second and Room 12 coming third. The Talent Quest was a blast and also the assembly.

The Coming And Going Of Madd Messenger!!
On Friday last week both year 7 and year 8 students went to the multipurpose room to learn how to make positive and right choices with Madd Messengers, Petia Wilson and Caroline. The year 8’s were all upset because it was our last lecture with the Madd Messengers. Petia then made a chalk drawing of Superwoman so that we would be a reminder our last Madd Messenger lesson.

Preventing Electrical Injuries
Electrical injuries can be very harmful to a lot of people. Electrical injuries sometimes cause people to pass away. Electrical Injuries are very painful.
These are the causes of injuries in households: putting a fork in the microwave, playing with broken devices, electrical appliance next to water, not using the right equipment to fix something.
Electrical injuries can be treated if you visit the Pharmacy or the Hospital. If you don’t do this it can leave your body with several scars, burns, disabilities, paralysation, amputation. It can also damage the body and mind, but specifically it can lead you to the point where your life has a dead end.

Diary Of A Gallipoli Soldier.
25th April 1915
Dear Family
On the twenty-fifth of April 1915 we landed on Gallipoli. When we landed there were a lot of noises, there were guns shooting, bombs exploding and people getting killed.
On our first day we were nervous . As we jumped off the vessel we ran as fast as we could to find a hiding spot. Darkness came over and we could hear the Turkish soldiers still shooting. Once they stopped we started sharpening our knives and dug some trenches to protect us. We hid our weapons in a safe place so the enemies couldn't find them.
We woke up with a sudden loud bomb sound and we went to get our guns, bombs and knives ready. Other soldiers started to shoot while we started to have a drink back at our trenches. Just after we finished we went out to help our soldiers shoot the Turkish soldiers.
At last one of our soldiers screamed, “Victory is ours.” Now the war is finished I can’t wait to come back home. I am as proud as a peacock.
