This Is Unbelievable!!

Summary:

19 year old, Anna Faith Carlson, has been famous for looking like a real-life version of Elsa. Anna became famous after she posted a picture of her standing next to a cardboard cutout of the ice princess, Elsa. Anna says that she herself finds the similarities between herself and the disney character.

Opinion:

I think this is cool and I would like to meet her in real life. When I saw the pictures below I was overwhelmed that there was a real life Elsa.

Happy Birthday!!

Summary:

Thompson celebrated her 16th birthday in true Disney style. After being born healthy she had a problem with her body at the age of 8. She now suffers from a range of health problems. The Make-A-Wish company granted wishes to almost about 250 children around the world including Lee Tangiwai-Thompson.

Opinion:

I think that this is amazing of how the Make-A-Wish company granted a lot of wishes to a lot of children. I wish this could happen to me one day.

I Can't Believe This!

(Summary)

Grant, A five year old boy proposed to Demi Lovato and asked if he could marry her. Demi stopped her concert and invited the 5 year old boy on stage. Grant gave Demi a green plastic ring. Demi Lovato was helping the boy propose, she told him to get down on one knee and ask “Will you marry me” and Demi Lovato answered “I will”.

(Opinion)

I think this boy is so brave to ask a question like that but what would Demi Lovato’s boyfriend think about this!

Born With Front Teeth!

SUMMARY:

A baby called Rose Pullen was born with two fully formed teeth. Rose was born at University Hospital of Wales on August 22. Rose’s mum Chloe was shocked when her husband said that Rose has already got two teeth. Chloe did some research and found that her grandmother was born with front teeth. Rose’s teeth were removed by doctors when she was a few weeks old.

OPINION:

I think that Rose is lucky to have two teeth already. It is weird that Rose has already had two teeth.  It would be cool if I  had two teeth when I was little.

Cardboard husband!

SUMMARY:

25 year old, Lauren Adkins was not allowed to marry the real actor Robert Pattinson,  so she married the best thing his life-size cardboard cut out. Lauren organised her big wedding herself and created the themes like it was a real wedding. There was a hen party, a wedding dress, a 5 layer wedding cake, an engagement ring, invitation to 50 quest and even a real minister!

OPINION:

I think that Lauren should have married someone else instead of a cut out cupboard. It will be cool if she should have married a real person.

Disney has announced that a frozen movie is coming back in 2015. The movie that is coming out is called Frozen Fever. The new movie will be about Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf the snowman and you will see Elsa’s icy powers threaten to overshadow Anna’s birthday party.

I can’t wait until I watch the new frozen fever. When it comes out I will relax on my couch and eat popcorn.

What A Game!!

The New Zealand basketball team lost to their first game of the 2014 world champion in Spain. The Tall Blacks lost 76-73 to Turkey. The Tall Blacks next game is against the Dominican. Corey Webster led New Zealand with 22 points.

I think the New Zealand team tried their best and maybe in the future they will beat the team from Turkey.

My Pendent Project!

This is my pendant  I  made  at Hard Materials Tech at  Tamaki College .  I chose this  silhouette, in the shape of a  pot   for my mum because she likes cooking just like me .  This pendant took me three or four weeks to make.

I am proud of what I made.

Fluoride is now safe to drink!

Scientists are saying that half of the councils in New Zealand put fluoride in their water. The scientists have actually found that fluoride provides protection against toothaches.

Dead Snake Kills A Chef!

A chef was preparing a snake soup. 20 minutes after a chef was cutting the snakes head off the snake had bitten his hand and died.

I think the chef should have left  the snake alone in the first place but he could have cut the head off before he touched it.

Bad News!

70 per cent of the world’s hazelnut crop are growing near Turkey’s Black Sea Coast. Now the producers will have to pay more to get the nutella.

I think it is very bad having no nutella because nutella is one of my favourite things to eat for my lunch.

Most children are taking sport drinks on Saturday games and public health experts are calling to say  that it is not good for them.

Hide And Stuck...

An 11 year old girl got stuck in a washing machine when she was playing hide and seek with her cousins. When she was in the washing machine she tried using her legs to push her out but her legs got numb. She thought hiding in the washing machine was a perfect place to hide. While she was in the washing machine she got scared. When the device which stirs the clothes was pushing against her chest was making it hard to breathe. Her older sister tried to get the girl with butter, peanut butter and ice but nothing worked so the sister called the mother and the aunt. The girl’s mothers couldn't get her out so they called 911 and fire-fighters came to help. The girl was stuck in the washing machine for hours.

I don’t think that was a good hiding spot to be hiding in….

A girl raised by monkeys!!!

A girl was 5 years old when her parents left her in the Colombia jungle. She spent 5 years in there with monkeys who looked after her.The monkeys taught the girl how to survive in the jungle.  When she was found again at age 10 she had to learn how to speak and to act like a human. Now she is 63 years old and her name is Marina Chapman. Marina still wants her parents to come back.    

Two boys rescues a 12 year old girl.

I watched a news item about a 12 year old girl in a flood.A boy named Angus  Pauley rescued the girl. Angus Pauley ran out in his underwear and helped the 12 year old girl. Jeremy McKenzie helped rescue the girl as well. Angus Pauley and Jeremy McKenzie gave the 12 year old girl some whacks on the back and they were trying to calm her down. The little girl’s parents were really relieved.

Kiwi Sport Netball!!

Today was our first  kiwi sport netball lesson We were having fun. First we had to do our warm up and it was jogging, skipping, shuffle and criss-cross. After warm up there were 4 colours .  We had to get into groups with a hula hoop and a ball and we had to try get the ball into the hula hoop . When we finished the hula hoops the coach said to go in 2 groups and make a circle and we had to throw the ball around and we weren't allowed to drop the ball.Net ball was fun and awesome!!!

Going To Youth Group

On Friday I went to youth group with my brothers and some of our cousins. When we got there we had to stand in rows for our singing practice. We were singing a church song for Sunday and for our youth rally at the end of this month.

After singing we played some games and the games were bang, hear the tunes and fruit salad. The game i like the most is fruit salad. After we played fruit salad it was time for us to go home we had to finished off with a prayer. When we were about to go but our youth leaders told us to wait because there were lots of pizzas to eat. They were yummy.
